Whoa!!!!

That's like asking if we have television over here yet. We have had ATM's in Europe since at least 1977 when I first went to University in Dundee.

It' more likely that its some tight arsed idea that the US banks have come up with to stop fraudulent use of U.S. issued credit cards (be it because they have been stolen or the number obtained somehow, by the 'filthy infidels' abroad.

As a user of a British issued bank/credit card in Belgium, Germany, France, Greece and Spain on frequent basis, I have never had a card stopped by my issuing bank or been refused money by a machine when I have tried.
