The only hotels that don't take credit cards are very small ones and B&B type places, who don't charge very much for the room in the first place. This is because the credit card company takes a percentage, so if you are not charging very much in the first place, losing some of that to a credit card company doesn't make sense. The vast majority if hotels in Europe do accept credit cards. As do most restaurants. All you have to do is ask before you book. If they don't accept them, go somewhere else.
