Drinking in Ghent - Prices?

Posted by Bruski on 12/14/2002 11:52:35 PM

I've seen a few mentions on the board about the comparatively high price of beer in Ghent bars. I've visited a few other towns in Belgium (Brugge, Antwerp, Ostend, Charleroi) and have always seen it as a quite reasonable (if not downright cheap) place to drink high quality brews. I'll be in Ghent for a few days early next year. Can someone give me rough idea of how much I'll be paying, and the places to avoid/look out for. Any other recommendations on food/drink gratefully accepted too. Thanks.
