Travel between Ostend and Bruges by Canal

It takes as little as thirteen minutes to get to Bruges from Ostend by frequent trains, but another option is by canal, the journey taking two hours!
This is more of a tourist attraction, and as such the boats only run in July and August. The vessel used is called the Yserstar, which is operated by Seastar ( www.seastar.be ). The Yserstar departs from close by the main railway station at 10am and 2pm. The journey is described as a Poldervaart (Polder Journey), a polder being land that has been reclaimed from the sea. The Yserstar arrives in Bruges at Steenkaai. There are bus transfers to/from the centre of Bruges included in the price of 12 Euro single, 17 Euro return (2002). The Yserstar leaves Bruges at Noon and at 5pm for the return journey to Ostend. The are refreshments on board, including, I believe, some Speciality Beers! There are other canal and open sea trip possibilities from Ostend, for example to Diksmuide inland, and to Nieuwpoort on the coast, see the Seastar Web site.
Has anyone any experience of this canal journey, particularly what beers are on board?
