Thanks scamborn and Jeremy.
The dog at the bier circus--I spent 3 nights drinking in there in 1998 and the guy that I assume was the owner, also had a dog. He told me that in english the dog's name would be Patrick. The dog always seemed to arrive at the table just after I had been served a new beer(along with a little cup of chips). when the chips ran out, the dog would find a new friend.
I wouldn't be opposed to finding a place besides Leige. My girlfriend did book us a 4-star hotel there for 40E a night though (she's a travel agent, that helps a bit).
