btw, I was with Fred et al on last year's trip to Franconia (incl Buttenheim, hometown of Levi Strauss), and our local guide wouldn't let us drink at St. Georgen because he didn't think the beer was good. The beer and food next door at Löwenbräu *was* good - a yeasty bitter lagerbier, a subdued apple-y weissbier, and a sweetish bockbier.

I've seen St. Georgen bottles here in the states, but have yet to try it...
