>>The capital of the Dutch province is an enclave, surrounded by Belgium and the Maas river<<

Right - I now see what you mean. However, surely its not a complete 'enclave' in the strictest sense of the word. I don't have my map in front of me, but am I not right in thinking that the part of the Netherlands which you are referring to (and in which Maastricht sits) is more a long finger of land which juts south from the rest of that country, and into the bit between Belgium and Germany. Its not actually cut off completely from the rest of the Netherlands, is it? And if I'm right, then its more of a 'peninsula' rather than an enclave. And if I'm talking total bollocks I look forward to the correction!

>>The middle of the Namur province, i.e. the Meuse stretch from Revin to Givet<<

Another 'finger of land' rather than an enclave? - but yes, I see exactly what you mean, as France juts right into Belgian territory here, doesn't it?

>>Zeeuws-Vlaanderen (Leftbank of the Scheldt estuary)<<

Again, without map I may be way off here, but this surely is another true enclave, as this piece of the Netherlands IS completely cut off from the rest of that country, and hence this is another enclave.

How many are we up to now?

Cheers!!
