De Met

Posted by March on 08/29/2003 01:45:33 PM

De Met in Halle is indeed a nice place to have a De Koninck Geuze. I was there once with a friend (a local Hallener). When I asked what kind of geuze they had, the barkeeper said "De Koninck", and then, locating my accent: "but not from Antwerp!"

"De Met" is by the way "De Markt" or the market place in the local dialect.

Cheers,

Gunter
