"The Kring is such an amazing place on a Sunday with locals just out of church playing cards and games and drinking the draught Boon beers."

That reminds me of our visit to Vlezenbeek. On a Sunday morning after a huge session at the Bier Circus, we were at In De Congo having a couple of Lindeman's. We had a nice seat at a window table, when the two owners, a nice older couple speaking no English, came over and started saying "cards". We had no idea what they were asking. But they were insistant. We thought they were asking if we wanted to play cards. After the previous night's session, cards were definitely out of the question. They eventually grabbed our glasses of lambic and moved them to another table, saying "scoot, scoot". I thought we had offended them somehow. Turns out that church had just let out, and the men were coming in to play cards at the table we were sitting at. It was funny, and we now use "scoot, scoot" when we want someone to move out of the way.
