So many of the old fashioned lambic bars are just fading away with the economic truth that as the old folk cannot manage their bars anymore, no one wants to carry on the family business for little or no financial return.

We are now down to a handful of such bars.

It's not all grief though, the good news is that there is an under current of new interest in lambic/gueuze beers in it's homeland in the form of new tourist bars stocking the best of the local brewers & blenders.....watch this space!
