Yob is the inverse of "boy". Yob and derivatives such as yobbish bevaviour, are used to describe a variety of bad behaviour, both minor and severe, ranging from those those drop litter (that we did not do in the god old days) through to those who go around vandalising property, through to those who beat up old ladies in their homes to get money for their next fix.
