behind the scenes-some more...

Too many little stories to actually tell them all- I just had a great time and met great people accompanied by great beers.
Two more little things that spring to my mind:
On Sunday we even had a Japanese guest : he could hardly speak English or French (let alone Flemish)- got 4 tokens at first, and came back within the hour to get 10 more ! There's a picture of him at http://home2.pi.be/gmarch/foto/kerst2003_foto.htm the 3th pic from the left- not counting the beer mat (or coaster-whatever) He was so funny: very friendly, smiling all the time, and nodding his head to everyone. Our first visitor from Asia ! Will he bring busloads next year?
Another thing that should have been in my reports was Jacob's and Martin's car. it seemed like they just got all the Marriage Parfait and Gluhkriek beer shop Van Oevelen had in stock. They asked directions to the other beer shop De Caigny at Van Oevelen.
Imagine a Fiat Tipo, hanging less than 10cm above thr ground....the trunck of the car was full of beer, the backseats were full of beer to the top of the car. And they even slept in the car- but the seats wouldn't go back with all that beer behind them ! I think driving to Genth wasn't that simple- with all those ' traffic bumps' on Flander's roads...By the way Jacob and Martin - The Limfjords Porter was nice indeed! Still got a few more left of our beerswap.
Hope to meet up with you guys again- over here or perhaps in Copenhagen.
Cheers, and thanks to all for making it a great fest (and for bringing me beer!)
