Gent bars visited on monday

After getting off the train from Brugge, I headed for Hopduvel (one of my favourite places) but alas it was closed! The sign in the window said that mondays in winter are closed. Headed up to A Capella for a spot of lunch and a Pee Klak! then over to Galgenhuisje for a Gentse Tripel (also collected a Bob H tick here and had a complimentary Galgenbier). Next stop was the excellent Waterhuis aan de Bierkant where I had 2 draught Bons Voeux. Superb as usual. By this time the t Dreupelkot next door was open so I had a couple of jenevers (one was with my Bob H tick). This is the first time that I have tried jenevers and very nice they were too. I had vanila jenevers as I am a massive fan of vanilla. Last but certainly not least was Brasserie Deus, never been here before. I had an early evening meal which was scrumptious and a Braven Apostle Kerst and followed that with an Ambiorix Dubbel. I enjoyed Brasserie Deus immensely with its very healthy beer list. I am sure that this will be in the next Tim Webb guide, if not, why not?!
Wish I was still in Flanders.
