Welcome to the homeBBBrew board!
Like the BBB, the homeBBBrew board is not a club, just a place to talk about making beer. Is there a swap you would like to see happen? If we can find a few others who have something similar then lets do it!

I just really like the work levifunk is doing!

Saison swap
Can you allow 6 in the Saison swap? (please, please, please) I will have my latest one ready to drink next week. I just found out the swaps are going on here now as opposed to the regular BBB board.

Re: Saison swap
For you? Sure, if you can deal with the date. It looks like we settled on one just yesterday - Sunday, October 23rd.

With a 6th I'll probably tweek the thing a little so everyone will ship to either 3 or 4 other people. We'll plan the session so nobody has to wait more than one beer before its time to open another. But it will be great to have someone from a past swap participate. Sorry you got this late, next time I'll not omit posting on the BBB as well.

Sebastian - your beer has been shipped
Look for it in 3ish business days.

What you (and Diane and Aaron) are getting is an 11.2oz bottle of "Rodenblonde" (for Halloween it will be renamed "Succubus Blonde"), made from the Roeselare yeast.

Then there is a Duvel bottle of "Rodenbruin" (for Halloween renamed to "Beast of the Wood". Got this cool wolf head cane handle for the tap handle!). This one, like the Rodenblonde - has decent carbonation, both filled from a keg. It was fermented with the Roeselare yeast after AlB rework it for me. Wadda guy! Then there is a small (Old Foghorn) bottle of "Rodenblack". This one is not really carbonated, maybe a bubble or two. It is more there to track the progress of the yeast. Ya know, a full set.

Re: Saison swap
I forgot to mention, every box will also have a little bag of hops that we grew this year. Man, what a harvest. I actually used 3 lbs in a IPA I made (they were all freshly picked so it is only an outrageous amount, not an unbelievably outrageous amount) and there are still more leftover than I can use. So there it is, 3 homebrewed beers and a little bag of homegrown in every box!!

Aaron, Diane, your boxes are away!
Sent them 2nd day, only 14 cents more!

Re: Saison swap
Man, I feel bad. All I sent was one bottle of my Saison and one bottle of New Belgium La Folie (12oz bottle). It looks like everyone else is sending more. I will have to make up for it on the next swap.

Right now I am in my Belgian Abbey progression. I started off with a Dubbel, then a Tripel, and this weekend I will do a Quad. All with the same yeast (although the cake keeps getting bigger). This time White Labs Abbey.

Re: Saison swap
Really Scott, I would not feel bad just sending a Folie, even a smaller one. Very exclusive and coveted selection, and there were no set rules about how much to send. I sent out 2 normal sized bottles and a tiny one (Old Foghorn) of another beer that is in progress just as a point of comparison. So far both swappers I've received from sent more than me! No prob, the true spirit of giving does not hinvolve a balance sheet. Steve
