Welcome to the homeBBBrew board!
Like the BBB, the homeBBBrew board is not a club, just a place to talk about making beer. Is there a swap you would like to see happen? If we can find a few others who have something similar then lets do it!

Yeast Strains and Their Sources
I've been keeping this file around for a while now, tracking sources for many of the commercial yeast strains. For me, it's easier to describe a yeast profile in terms of house character than trying to describe all the nuances of that character. If I'm brewing, I'll want to target my beer to be like a Rochefort, or like a Duvel, etc, but probably NOT like a Chimay. ;-) This chart helps me do that. I hope it helps you too. BTW, I never did care a whole lot for any of the homebrews made with the the 1214 or WLP500 Chimay yeast. I can even tell which commercial beers use them. Not my faves. Luckily there are lots of great yeasts to choose from now.
