Welcome to the homeBBBrew board!
Like the BBB, the homeBBBrew board is not a club, just a place to talk about making beer. Is there a swap you would like to see happen? If we can find a few others who have something similar then lets do it!

I just really like the work levifunk is doing!

Re: Trippel swap anyone?
I've got a couple appropriately bottled with corks and wire wrappers. They are properly carbonated (3 atmospheres) so they require the proper glass for serving. One is a year old the other is about 2 months.

Re: Trippel swap anyone?
Sorry Steve, all my trippel is gone. I'm set for the Saison swap however.

Re: Trippel swap anyone?
I believe I can do that. My current "tripel" is slightly off style, but not by much. I included it in the package that went out last week. Eric & N8 got it. Let me know what you guys think of that one.

Re: Trippel swap anyone?
Well, it didn't take long to get 4! That's the minimum so it looks like we are on. Rich, mine is OK but not exactly to style either. I've had US micros that were off by more though. The Ardennes was a great yeast for the dubbel, but it wasn't exactly what I was looking for in a triple. Came out a hair dark too, I used 17L crystal instead of the 6.5L I intended. Got to get less enthusiastic come milling time.

Cisco, sounds like you are a great guy to have in a swap!! My first priority is to start the ball rolling on the brettanomyces e-symposium, but hopefully I can look at getting the planning for a triple swap off the ground this week too. I'll try. These are a load of fun though and I'm delighted we can start planning another so soon after the last. Steve

I'd love to be in if there's still space.

Re: Trippel swap anyone?
Fantastic, one way or another we always find a way to squeeze another in. We won't do this swap with absence of mallace!

Re: Trippel swap anyone?
Hey gang, another terrific night. Aside from the fun inherent with drinking a bunch of triples the weighing out priming sugar thing was very interesting. I guess when you start kegging just about everything you make you loose touch with bottling best practices. Thanks Cisco! The transcript is fully intact if any of you guys would like to see it. Its not clean HTML, just the raw dump.

Re: Trippel swap anyone?
I forgot to mention my 5 step mash process for the triple.

113 for 30 min

131 for 15

144 for 30

154 for 15

168 for 5

It's basically following the Duvel mash process to get as much fermentables converted as possible for a nicely attenuated dry beer.

You're not going to believe this!!!
You actually can paste text for a chat! I'm used to right clicking or SHIFT+INSERT to paste. I never tried CRTL+V...but that does it!

Re: Trippel swap anyone?
Hey Steve--how do I access the transcripts?

Re: Trippel swap anyone?
Sure, I have it at work. Please email me there. It is mostly unprocessed (I did a lot of work on the brettanomyces one I posted) but can still easily be followed.
