Roeselare is back
This might not come as a big surprise, but it looks like the VSS for April -- June includes Roeselare yeast, in addition to something called Inglemunster and a farmhouse yeast.

Re: Roeselare is back

Anyone used the Farmhouse yeast before and how did it perform?

Re: Roeselare is back
I brewed with the Farmhouse strain. It doesn't attenuate as much as the beire de gard (Fantome)strain but it still makes a nice spicy saison.

OK, I want spicy. I'll use it with spelt(Saison d'epeautre), thanks.

Re: Roeselare is back
I'm brewing a Saison tomorrow split into three batches fermented with the Dupont strain, the Farmhouse strain (Blaughies?), and a mix of b. Clausenii and b. Lambicus. I plan to ferment the two sacchromyces batches at high temps (~85F) and the brett batch at 65F or so. No prior experience with the Farmhouse strain though.

Looks like Pelican Pub in Oregon is using the Farmhouse strain too:

I believe the Farmhouse strain is Blaugis, i used it last year and it is by far my fav, a mix between the Fantome and Dupont strain!

<< mix between the Fantome and Dupont strain>>

Interesting. I just bottled/kegged a saison using dupont + Fantome brett.
