Like the BBB, the homeBBBrew board is not a club, just a place to talk about making beer. Is there a swap you would like to see happen? If we can find a few others who have something similar then lets do it!

large bottle caps
Does anyone know of a North American source for the larger-size bottle caps used, for example, on the Cantillon "champagne" bottles?

I am sure there are other North American sources too

Re: large bottle caps
You are quite right, by the way, about there being other sources -- Northern Brewer in MN sells them as well, along with appropriately-sized "bells" for a couple of different cappers.

Cheers,

Mark

Re: large bottle caps
Marko,

Yes, I saw that Northern Brewer sells them, and the housing bell as well. My question is how do I know if I have a new Agata Bench Capper or an old one?

I want to bottle condition 5 gallons of Biere de Garde in champagne bottles. I am planning to use a cork and then cap over it.

The last time I used the plastic champagne tops half of them cracked.
