Welcome to the homeBBBrew board!
Like the BBB, the homeBBBrew board is not a club, just a place to talk about making beer. Is there a swap you would like to see happen? If we can find a few others who have something similar then lets do it!

OK then, how bout a saison swap?
Hearing very little with the histroical swap follow up, maybe we should think about an 07 saison swap. I have a all-brett one I'm very happy with. Anyone else in? If at least 3 others have something saisony then we could get this done before September is out. Steve

hey steve, I'm hoping to get on a regular brewing schedule once I get settled (moving to Madison, WI) that may be a couple of months so saison/historical are probably out, but I'll watch for others upcoming.

cheers, scamborn

Hey Steve

Do you do this by mail? If so, can anyone join in? I'd be interested...I have a couple of things laying around.

Re: OK then, how bout a saison swap?
Awesome - truth be told Ross when I saw a post from you last week I thought of trying a saison swap. I was wondering if Ross "give me saison or give me death" Lunato would jump in! Delighted dude, sincerest hopes that fatherhood is workin well for you.

N8...as always a pleasure! 5 is a great number, we are officially on. When I'm in Monday I'll start the wheels turning. Ross, you're in for a treat. These events are really a blast.

The one I'll be tossing in, as I said, is an all-brett beer. I think its very similar to Al's "Silence of the Lambicus". I call this one "On the Lam". A touch funky, a touch sour, interestingly fruity, very dry. Beer psycho lawnmower beer.

N8 -

If the one ya gave me earlier is one of 'em, I'll hold on to it fer da swap? Or should I drink it now?

Al Beer

Dsanborn - brace yerself for Winter (my sis lives out there). Keep an eye out for Lake Louie brew.

Hey Steve-

I couldn't resist! I'm really looking forward to it!

"Give Me Saison, or Give Me Death" that's funny as hell but pretty much true :)

Re: OK then, how bout a saison swap?
Sounds fun. I have one classic, unspiced saison ready, and another more adventurous, stronger recipe to be bottled this month. What's your time frame for the swap?

Re: OK then, how bout a saison swap?
Sean, the time frame is pretty much now. Looks like everyone who responded has something in hand, so we could ship at any time. As long as we have 7 I'll give it a day or two to see if one more signs up. Then we'll have 8, perfect for 2 sessions. So if you are reading this thread and are interested, I'll be closing this out with the next participant. I'll try to have all addresses collected before the week is out and see if we can come up with a date(s) for the sessions, maybe we can all ship next week. Cool, this is only the 3rd swap of '07!

Re: OK then, how bout a saison swap?
I'm sure that Ross has been waiting to see if I would bite on this one 8^)

Ok I'm in with the all brett saison I did for the brett swap because that's the only saison I have at the moment. Brewing season starts towards the end of October for me in the stinking desert of Tucson!

Re: OK then, how bout a saison swap?
Al,

The one I sent you was a "prototype" of the Saison that I have now. I wouldn't have enough to pass around, so it'll just be a bonus for ya.

Perhaps you could do a comparison between the two.

Re: OK then, how bout a saison swap?
I think 8 is the practical limit Mike ... unless we go to a "ship to some" approach. Let me talk this out with the gang, we'll see which way we want to go. More soon...

Re: OK then, how bout a saison swap?
If there's room for still more, I have 2 Saisons to throw into the mix. If not that's fine, too.

Hi Steve, my Saisons will definitely be around for another Saison swap. If you have plenty of participants, then I have no problem shooting for the next time around. mike

Re: OK then, how bout a saison swap?
I'm late to the game here, but is anyone still interested? I've got two saisons... 1 "regular" strength (that won a 1st place at the Schooner comp last weekend) and one "super" strength. Both are pretty damn tasty. I live in the Chicago are if that matters.

Re: OK then, how bout a saison swap?
Hi Mark, I'm afraid planning here is already set in stone. With an 8 person event, everyone shipping to and recieving from 4 others the balance is very exacting. One person added or subtracted and the thing crumbles. Keep an eye out though, when this one is done I'll start hunting for interest in the next swap...
