Welcome to the homeBBBrew board!
Like the BBB, the homeBBBrew board is not a club, just a place to talk about making beer. Is there a swap you would like to see happen? If we can find a few others who have something similar then lets do it!

Dry Hopping with Saaz
Anybody here ever dry hop with Saaz? If so, what did you think of the results?

Re: Dry Hopping with Saaz
The best lager I ever made was dry hopped with Saaz. That was back in '98, it actually placed higher in a competition than a beer brewed by George Fix. I started doing it after hearing from Jay Misson (a highly reputed pro lager brewer whose been all over) that it was a favorite of his. Note, this too was in the 90s!

Steve,

What amount for what volume would you reccomend?

Re: Dry Hopping with Saaz
I probably don't have records of the aforementioned, it was nearly 10 years ago. But I would guess I used an ounce. I recall back in the day that its impact was pretty floral. I don't remember the smell, but I remember that word coming up a lot.

Thanks for the info Steve. I think I'm gonna give it a go for my next Saison.
