Welcome to the homeBBBrew board!
Like the BBB, the homeBBBrew board is not a club, just a place to talk about making beer. Is there a swap you would like to see happen? If we can find a few others who have something similar then lets do it!

Going to Belgium
Hi all, looks like I might have a couple of days to play with in Belgium in June. Any opinions on what I shouldn't miss?

Greg -

Hopefully you do - if you haven't already, you should post the question on the other BBB message board where you'll get more than enough info. (and let them know what area, they can be very specific on where to go).

Re: Going to Belgium
The other board and the traveler tips on the left will help you a lot. In Brussels I wouldn't miss Cantillon and the Poechenellekelder. Belga Queen in Gent: the highish cost of the (delicious) food is tempered by the $4 bottles of Gueuze Marriage Parfait. De Dolle is great but depending how you travel it may take too high a percentage of your time to get there and back (and make sure you check tour times). If you can call Hanssens and set up a tour, that's really cool tour because they are basically large-scale hobbyists. Again not so easy to get to without a car.

And somebody should really ask one of the lambic brewers what the final gravity of their lambic is, before the brett starts chewing at it. Maybe thay person can be you...
