Welcome to the homeBBBrew board!
Like the BBB, the homeBBBrew board is not a club, just a place to talk about making beer. Is there a swap you would like to see happen? If we can find a few others who have something similar then lets do it!

BABBLE Leap Beer Brew Off
This is an nvitation to participate in the 2008 BABBLE Leap Beer Brew Off Saturday, February 23, 2008 at DiCarlo's Fine Wine & Spirits in Mundelein, IL 60060.

BABBLE is proud to announce that the 2008 Leap Beer Brew Off will again be a stop on the Midwest Homebrewer of the Year circuit www.sphbc.org/mwhboy/docs/circuit.htm.

We are also pleased to bring you our Entrant Appreciation Drawing. The name of one participant will be selected at random and this person will win a special gift package. Each entry qualifies you in the drawing, so the more you submit the better your chances at winning!

New in 2008: There will be a separate best of show judging for Meads and Ciders. Ribbons will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd best of show in these categories so dust off some of those bottles and take a chance on winning more ribbons.

Rules and entry forms can be found on the BABBLE webite www.babblehomebrewers.com

If you are interested in Judging, please contact Pat Duby (224)875-0818 patduby at yahoo.com and Stewarding, Steve Pavlovich (847) 223-5404

Re: BABBLE Leap Beer Brew Off
The timing just didn't work this time. I bombed last year but was impressed enough with the commentary I got back to have planned to participate again. Getting stuff out to Seans competition in Brooklyn was all I could swing though. Sorry man, wish you the best.

Looks like I have something after all. Totally forgot about a keg of Flanders red made from an AlB Roselare blend. Worth a shot.

Re: BABBLE Leap Beer Brew Off
I have it on good authority that scoresheets were mailed this morning. Results have been sent to the BABBLE webmaster to have them posted.

I'd rather not post full results here before our website up, but I can tell you that both Brian and Steve won ribbons.

Brian - 2nd for Wiezenbock and 3rd for Golden Strong

Steve - 3rd for Flanders Red
