De Struise Live on The Brewing Network
Carlo and Urbain will be live on the Brewing Network.
I look forward to listening. I may even try to listen live rather than to the podcast like I normally do.

note: for those of us in Belgium that would be Monday morning at 2am. Thank God Monday is a holiday here! I'll be listening while happily sipping on some lovely DSB beers.
"The Session (Sunday Show)
Sunday, March 23, 2008, 5:00pm Pacific Standard Time (GMT-8)
Forget the Easter Bunny this Sunday, we've got one hell of a show lined up for you upon our return this week. We are welcoming 2008's best brewers in the world, according to Rate Beer, direct from Belgium!!! De Struise Brouwers will be joining us live on the program for an international first! We'll speak with brewers Carlo and Urbain about brewing some of the best beer on earth, and this is no pre-record...they insisted it be live! And that's not all. We'll also be talking to Chris Lively of famed Ebenezers Pub, the belgian home away from home in Maine, about a new venture with De Struise here in America. And if that's not enough, The Homebrew Chef Sean Paxton, who is designing the menu of the new venture, will be in studio to talk about his adventures with De Struise in Belgium, and the new venture here in the states. It's going to be one hell of an interview with these guys and a first for The BN. So if you've got questions about amazing, unique, sour belgian experiments gone great, tune in live this Sunday and join the chat where it's possibly the best place to be if you love beer this Easter Sunday. I guarantee you won't catch these guys together in your living room again!

Re: De Struise Live on The Brewing Network
I feel very fortunate to live only an hour away from Eb's. Chris treated me and other members of my brew club to many vintage bottles of lambic, russian river, black albert, lost abbey and earth monk last saturday. He is such a generious host and i'm very happy for him to get the exposure he deserves.
I had the pleasure of drinking a glass of earthmonk with Urbain last summer while he went into great detail about it and spontaneous fermentation. Honestly, it was the best beer experience I have ever had to date.

Re: De Struise Live on The Brewing Network
John- Wow, that must have been a hell of an experience and probably one to remember. I really enjoyed the show last night with Urbain, Carlo, and Chris. They hung out and talked beer for 6 hours. Very long but very informative and interesting. |

Re: De Struise Live on The Brewing Network
Yeah, great show. I had to go to bed right after they got off the phone, it was almost 6am here and I was supposed to dough-in around 8 or 9. Needless to say, I didn't dough-in until noon but it was a great "inspired" brew day. Also my first brew since October! It was like finally scratching on something thats been itching for months. Well, now time to listen to the rest of it in the podcast |
