Welcome to the homeBBBrew board!
Like the BBB, the homeBBBrew board is not a club, just a place to talk about making beer. Is there a swap you would like to see happen? If we can find a few others who have something similar then lets do it!

Simpsons vs. Crisp Maris Otter
I have only used Crisp, but I noticed that for a sack at my LHBS the following prices...

Simpsons: $110

Crisp: $68

Has anyone used both who can note on the differences? Is there really a difference and, if so, is it worth the huge price difference?

Thanks!

Pat

Re: Simpsons vs. Crisp Maris Otter
I've used Crisp MO in the past and think it adds a unique character. Last trip to Keystone I was looking to get more of the Simpsons Golden Promise, but they stop stocking it. I did pick up 10 pounds of the Simpsons MO at $2.25/lb but have yet to use it. I am curious to see if it will be worth it, so will probably just do a straight pale ale or bitter.

Hi Ted,

Keystone is where I saw the prices for the two that I stated. I will be very interested to hear what you think, once you finish the Simpsons batch.
