Welcome to the homeBBBrew board!
Like the BBB, the homeBBBrew board is not a club, just a place to talk about making beer. Is there a swap you would like to see happen? If we can find a few others who have something similar then lets do it!

Bulk Grain Resources?
For those who order their bulk grain online, what shops have you found have the best prices and shipping prices. I'm looking to buy 4 or 5 sacks (including Marris Otter, Dingemans Pale and Pils), but may have a group interested in a pallet, if shipping is better.

I live in SE PA and am willing to drive a couple of hours to pick them up if the price justifies it.

Thanks!

Pat

Re: Bulk Grain Resources?
I never ordered grain from them, but midwestern homebrew supply had some pretty awesome shipping prices...

It may be a bit of a drive for you but check out North Country malt:

www.northcountrymalt.com/index.html

They have the best prices I've seen and it may be road tripable from Penn

Re: Bulk Grain Resources?
I live in PA (Pittsburgh) and we do our club bulk grain order through North Country. Just finished this years order and we got 2 pallets worth.....which we just split the shipping as a group and it came to ~$3/sack shipping. Not too shabby considering the fuel surcharge keeps skyrocketing!

Thanks for the help everyone. It does look like North Country seems to be the best deal around. I think I'll give that a shot before prices go up... again. :-)
