Welcome to the homeBBBrew board!
Like the BBB, the homeBBBrew board is not a club, just a place to talk about making beer. Is there a swap you would like to see happen? If we can find a few others who have something similar then lets do it!

Russian River Bottling Yeasts
Does anyone know if Russian River uses a different strain to bottle their 'standard' (non-funk) bottle-conditioned beers? I seem to remember that they may have added second bottle-only yeast for conditioning but haven't found the info on the Homebrew Board. Thanks.

Re: Russian River Bottling Yeasts
Depends on the beer. I know they use wine yeast on some of them. I would try emailing Vinnie and asking what yeast he uses to bottle whatever beer specifically you're curious about. He is VERY open with information.

I agree with tankdeer, Vinnie is very open and helpful to homebrewers. You might also check out the Russian River bottle log at the company's website. They typically post which yeast strains were used for fermentation and bottling for each batch.
