Welcome to the homeBBBrew board!
Like the BBB, the homeBBBrew board is not a club, just a place to talk about making beer. Is there a swap you would like to see happen? If we can find a few others who have something similar then lets do it!

Orval dregs into flat, bottled Triple??
So I was wondering what the results of adding a little Orval dregs to an already bottled Triple that is mostly flat? The fg was 1.012 and I added primming sugar that went nowhere.

If the carb got to be on the upper limits could I just refer it to stop the bottle bombs? This is all in champagne bottles.

What do you think?

I think you’d be fine, champagne bottles can take a lot of pressure. Refrigeration will slow down Brett, but in my experience it will keep working slowly even at refrigerator temperatures.

That said Orval dregs could take a few months to carbonate the beer properly, so you might want to add a regular strain to half the bottles for drinking soon, and Orval dregs to the rest for cellaring.
