Welcome to the homeBBBrew board!
Like the BBB, the homeBBBrew board is not a club, just a place to talk about making beer. Is there a swap you would like to see happen? If we can find a few others who have something similar then lets do it!

Re: Will the
Al I'm still really interested. I'm neighbors with OldSock and some other sour brewers, and we could all share one culture. We have stockpiles of sour homebrew to send out. My email is danieleatonfogg at gmail.com

Al-

The bugs have arrived! Thanks a ton. Can't wait to concoct a recipe to use 'em in. Will get a starter going and see how active these little guys are. Do you think they'll handle a primary?

Re: Will the
<<Do you think they'll handle a primary?>>

They (batch #2) are designed for a 5 gal pitch for primary fermentation if desired.

Re: Will the
<<Am I correct in assuming that the second round has the same make up as the first round?>>

Yes, same make-up and relative % populations of each organism - except batch 2 has more primary yeast (DeDolle) for Primary inoculation if desired.

Re: Will the
Cascade beers are really good!! I know Ron and Curtis, the brewers, and have tasted many of the barrels. What a great treat that was!!

They have inspired my trip down sour lane.

Re: Will the
My timing is spectacularly bad. several excellent brewers who know have been telling me to seek out Al of the magic bugs... and now that I finally bottled my Wyeast Roselare blend Flanders Red on fresh pineapple, and am all excited about what I need to change to hone the recipe, process and fermentation, I see I'm too late to ask to be in round 2. (I'll have to pay attention for round 3) Anyway this is all very cool to read for vicarious kicks anyway, and instructive.
