Welcome to the homeBBBrew board!
Like the BBB, the homeBBBrew board is not a club, just a place to talk about making beer. Is there a swap you would like to see happen? If we can find a few others who have something similar then lets do it!

Brett Flavor
Hi,

New to the BBB and here's my first question.

I made a Brwon Ale about 18 months ago. During that 18 months, I racked off 2.5 gallons and added Roselaire, many random dregs (Mikeller Alive, JP Ora De Calabaza, Orval) and ended it with a half dose of Pedio and a can of Cherries. Yes, this is a jumble of a beer recipe (more like a random experiment) After all this time, I tasted it. There's is a slight vinegar aroma (which isn't too spectacular), but the taste is strong nutty pecan flavor. Overpowering pecan flavor, as if, i just ate a handful.

Has anyone heard of or encountered this type of flavor in any of their creations?

Re: Brett Flavor
Sounds like diacetyl from the pedio

Re: Brett Flavor
I'd say oxidation.
