Welcome to the homeBBBrew board!
Like the BBB, the homeBBBrew board is not a club, just a place to talk about making beer. Is there a swap you would like to see happen? If we can find a few others who have something similar then lets do it!

pellets vs. whole dry hops and nose
My annecdotal evidence shows pellet dry hops to exude a very citrusy type nose even when things like Amarillo are used. i was hoping for more fruity.

any evidence of whole vs. dry offering differing versions of a dry hop theme? i sense a double batch with split dry hopping occuring in the future.

i tend to dry hop with a heavy hand so maybe this is part of the problem also. tend to let them sit for 7-10 days typically in secondary.

Re: pellets vs. whole dry hops and nose
Dry hops often seem to give off a greener scent & taste to me. Also, as you discovered, many of the high-alpha hops are very citrusy in general such as Cascade, Amarillo, etc.
