Dupont Avril recipe
I just had the Dupont Avril and really enjoyed it. Does anyone have a clone recipe for it? Thanks in advance.

Re: Dupont Avril recipe
I assume it is just a lower gravity version of their sasion (that's what it tasted like to me anyway). Find a clone for it and just lower the gravity and bitterness proportionally. I would probably mash a little warmer so it doesn't get too thin. Good luck.

Whoops....The bottle label says there is wheat syrup in it as well. I wouldn't be surprised much if the Grissett recipe in Farmhouse Ales comes close to the Avril.

Too thin? I thought it was extremely thin. And extremely delicious.

I too am trying to chase a recipe for Avril. I brewed a Saison recently with a starting gravity of 1040. I hope to bottle today. The last time I checked the gravity, it was at 1003. I used Belgian Pils, American 6-Row, and Red Wheat. For hops, I went bittering, post boil steep, and dry.

The bucket sample doesn't taste like Avril, though it could be her sister in that it's light, tart, herbal, and very refreshing.
