Hey all,

Who entered this year?

I sent a Dubbel and a Belgian Stout to the Madison, WI Center

Re: NHC 2011- who entered
Sent in 5. Dusseldorf Altbier, Flanders Red, Flanders Brown, Berliner Weisse, and Berliner Weisse w/ apricots (fruit beer category). All went in to Northeast Region in Saratoga, NY. Now the waiting game. Rebrewed the Alt yesterday, just in case I get the good news.

Good luck to all!

Tank-

I did see that Seattle had finished their judging. Where were the results posted, or did you just get your scoresheets back already?

Saratoga wont' be done until April 17th I believe.

Re: NHC 2011- who entered
Entered San Diego: Vintage Russian Imperial Stout and an Ancho Amber.

Got the results today: They hated the vintage RIS.

They loved the Ancho Amber. It placed first in cat. 21 spice/herb/veg beer and is moving on to 2nd round! 2nd year in a row one of my beers is moving on. Pretty excited, I thought it was a good beer but wasn't expecting to place.

Congrats Jeff! That is exciting. What was your score for the Amber?

Got my scoresheets in the mail. I was surprised they came so quickly.

Jeff, that's great news man. I was really hoping to advance something this year since it's my first year attending the conf. Oh well. This is what happens when I move away from SD - first year I enter that I didn't advance. Must be a sign. ;)

Re: NHC 2011- who entered
Brewinhard- the beer only cored a 35, but I figure that is a pretty tough category to judge, very palate wrecking.

Tank- bummer nothing moved on, but I can't wait to hang at NHC.

Thanks everyone, I hope more of you get to the next round as well!

Well done Mark!

Do you have plans to rebrew any of the hoppy ones?

Re: NHC 2011- who entered
I think I might just add some fresh hops to the kegs, they were brewed in early-mid March.

Got my scoresheets emailed to me from Denver. Couple 40's and a 36, but don't see that anything went on. :-(

Re: NHC 2011- who entered
Looks like I made a bad choice going for Tennessee, it’s now listed as not being finished until April 30th. Glad I didn't need to rebrew any of my entries.

Re: NHC 2011- who entered
Same for Northeast regionals in Saratoga. It just keeps getting pushed back further and further. I don't think they knew what they were getting themselves into! Really can't wait for my results!

Re: NHC 2011- who entered
I think I picked the wrong region (Denver) for the competition, I entered two beers in Category 16, a 42 took third place...I scored a 40 and a 36. My 40 in category 17 wasn't good enough either. :-(

It blows when your only a couple of points out.

I'm in the Madison WI region. Did you find out from scoresheets in the mail, email, website?

-Cheers

Re: NHC 2011- who entered
I got my scoresheets emailed to me, but talked with someone on another board that took 3rd place in my same category and found out his score.

Re: NHC 2011- who entered
The scoresheets from the Denver region did not include anything about advancing. I e-mailed the guy that sent the scoresheets and he said that my Scotch Ale advanced and wasn't sure about the others. I guess that we wait until the official posting.
