Welcome to the homeBBBrew board!
Like the BBB, the homeBBBrew board is not a club, just a place to talk about making beer. Is there a swap you would like to see happen? If we can find a few others who have something similar then lets do it!

Its been quite a while...
So long I wonder if the majority of people here will even know what I'm talking about. But we've not swapped in ages. Last night I sampled a lambic I've been working on for nearly as long as we've had a swap. All I can say is ... finally!!!

Anyone else have a lambic they are proud of? Feel like doing a swap and online tasting?

Yes, its quite an experience. Actually at this point I think I'd probably have to find and install new chat room software, after years of neglect its hard to imagine the old one is still operating. But if people are interested it can happen.

Had a couple more glasses of the cassis yesterday. Its not that fruity, very dry. The currents nudged the flavor a little in a way that I think is very lambic friendly. Really pretty delightful drink. Anyone who has something along that line and wants to do some casual comparison let me know.

I remember the swaps. :)

I've got a gueuze that my wife and I blended and bottled back in February or March. It was real good at first, but got a little bottle shock. I'd have to check it to see if it's coming around again.

I would love to do a swap - except the beer would probably get intercepted on the way to Afghanistan. If you keep doing this I would love to participate in a swap and tasting after I get home. It won't be in time for this one though. Have fun.

I need to check on my oldest lambic. Been 6 months or so.

I'd like to get in on a saison swap sometime, too.

That's relatively unlikely, unless things have changed a lot. That's not to say that it will travel well! :P

I'd be interested, though I don't have anything close to a cassis. I have a brett saison that I would love to hear others opinion on, as well as a berliner weiss sort of thing, and my first batch of lambic that I just pulled out of my solera barrel.

I'd love to do a swap. Lambic might be tough right now... maybe a framboise or kriek in a few months. Definitely interested in a saison swap if there is one of those too.

I haven't been around long enough to know the details of how a swap works, but it sounds like it'd be great. I've got a berliner weisse and a saison that I could share.

Re: Its been quite a while...
It's a good idea, and I have several potential contributions. But I am going to be doing large amounts of traveling through the end of the year for work, so scheduling might be a problem.

I have a saison and a all brett B & L beer I could swap. In 6 months I would be able to add about 3 more sour blends to the mix.

Re: Its been quite a while...
I've got an unblended (but intentionally carbed) lambic I could part with a few bottles of for a swap.
